Georgiana McCarthy

Georgiana McCarthy joined Wells Burcombe in January 2018 having previously held an administrative role at GT Stewart Solicitors in London.
She is a fully qualified Chartered Legal Executive having studied law to gain such qualification through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and is also a fully accredited police station representative.
Georgiana has dealt with many appeal cases in respect of serious sex offences and violent offences including murder. She also deals with Crown Court cases, particularly in relation to violent offences. Notable cases include:
- R v S – Secured a not guilty for client on a s20 GBH
- R v A – Managed to get client's IPP quashed. Sentencing judge ought to have found extended sentence was sufficient. Client was years over tariff and was released immediately.
